Description
TankDose V1.1 is an automatic volume-based dosing device. Whether you wish to dose a fuel additive into a diesel tank or flouride into a water tank, TankDose V1.1 can do the job.
The base unit comes standard with one high-end ultrasonic sensor for the main tank. The ultrasonic sensor can measure to a depth of 5metres but has a blank zone of 30cm from the sensor interface. This can be eliminated by connecting a 30cm adapter to the tank connection point.
The standard pump on the device is a 3-roller, seal-less, self-priming, peristaltic pump. These pumps are of high quality, with a robust design and reliability. The tubing for this pump has inner diameter 4.8mm and outer diameter 8mm.
Three meters of black tygon tubing are included with the unit, as well as a connecting check-valve to prevent reverse-flow.
Max. Main Tank Capacity: 250,000L
Max. Additive Tank Capacity: 8,500L
Dosing Ratio Range: 0.002% (1ml/50L) to 8%(4000ml/50L)
| Feature | Description | Benefit |
| Automatic Volume-Based Dosing: | When liquid is added to a tank, TANKDOSE calculates the change in volume and doses the tank with a user defined ratio of additive, automatically. | This eliminates the need for manual intervention, which is often inaccurate, resulting in overdosing or underdosing. It saves the user time and energy, especially when dealing with several tanks. |
| Low Dosing Ratio
(1–4000ml per 50L). Equivalent to 0.002% to 8% |
TANKDOSE will dose a tank with the user-defined number of millilitres, everytime the tank volume changes by 50Litres. In a large tank, this could be every time the liquid rises by 2mm or in a very small tank (1m x 1m), it could be every 50mm (5cm). | The user can choose a ratio as low as 1ml/50L. This gives a percentage ratio of 0.002%. This allows the user to utilize premium additives. |
| Tank Types to suit any shape. | There are 4 selectable known tank shapes, which require a few dimensions at setup, or the user can select a strapping table, which can also be uploaded at setup. | These tank types make it easy for the user to setup, whether it is a known container shape or a strapping table configuration. Having a strapping table input allows the user to utilize any shape of tank. |
| Sensor Choice: Ultrasonic or Magnetostrictive Probe. | There are two sensor configurations available when ordering your TANKDOSE device. The Ultrasonic Sensor is our default option. However, if you require a more accurate sensor option, you may choose the MagStrip Probe, which also has a water measurement capability. | It gives users a choice for their tanks. |
| Blind spot | The Ultrasonic sensor has a blind spot of 30cm. If positioned at the top of a tank, this is usually above the safe-fill level and shouldn’t cause any trouble. However, it should be noted that this is considered the 100% capacity of the tank because any change in volume above this level will not be dosed with additive. A 30cm adapter can be placed at the tank connection point to eliminate this issue. | No dosing of additive above a certain level. This will ensure the tank doesn’t overflow. |
| Pump Choice:
Peristaltic Pump. |
The use of a peristaltic pump means that the additive used will not corrode or interfere with the working of the pump.
TANKDOSE V1.1 comes standard with a peristaltic pump, which uses a low flowrate for high accuracy, making it the perfect choice for very low ratio additives. Operating with no internal backflow, the pump is able to provide repeatability of typically ±0.2% and metering capability of ±2%, making it an ideal solution for chemical dosing. |
Peristaltic pumps are extremely robust pumps, ideal for intermittent or continuous duty cycles. They are simple to use, easy to control, versatile and reliable.
The current choice gives the user a high-end pump option, that can facilitate very high accuracy when utilizing exceptionally low ratios. |
| Multiple Tubing Options | Depending on the additive being used, the user may choose from a wide range of tubing options, from Silicon to Tygon to Chem-Durance or Viton. | The user is sure to find a suitable tubing option for their chosen additive. |
